Laura Holt
Ms. Holt is an attorney in the Family Law Practice Group at JOCHAM HARDEN DIMICK JACKSON, PC where she provides legal representation for matters including prenuptial agreements, legal separation, divorce, paternity, custody, child support, parenting time and post-decree modifications.
Ms. Holt has focused her practice in family law since receiving her Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to law school, she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Affairs at Indiana University. Ms. Holt is admitted to practice in the state of Indiana, both in state and federal courts, and is also admitted to practice in the state of Illinois and in the federal court in the Northern District of Illinois. In addition to her litigation services for divorce and family law clients, Ms. Holt is trained as a collaborative attorney and can assist clients who wish to resolve their cases without going to court.
Ms. Holt is a member of the Boone County, Hamilton County, Indianapolis and Indiana State Bar Associations and their family law sections. Additionally, Ms. Holt is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association.
Active in the legal community, she serves on the Women in the Law Committee for the Indiana State Bar Association. She is also currently responsible for authoring the Barrister Banter, the newsletter for the Hamilton County Bar Association. Ms. Holt was previously honored by being selected selected to participate in the 2008-2009 Session for the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Leadership Series, which prepares lawyers for future opportunities in leadership roles and service in professional, political, judicial, civic, and community organizations.
Ms. Holt serves as a volunteer for the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Ask a Lawyer program and was recognized for her volunteer commitment by being listed in the IBA’s 2008 Hall of Fame. She is also currently serving as a Guardian Ad Litem for Kid’s Voice as well as the Hamilton County GAL program. An active alumnae member of Kappa Delta, she has served on the Chapter Advisory Board of Kappa Delta at Indiana University. In her personal time, Ms. Holt enjoys spending time with her husband and family, watching Indiana University basketball, traveling and running.
