Ms. Wanzer is an attorney at JOCHAM HARDEN DIMICK JACKSON, PC where she practices in the areas of family law, including collaborative law and domestic mediation. Ms. Wanzer earned her Juris Doctor summa cum laude in 1999 from Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis where she completed an internship with the Indiana Supreme Court. She graduated magna cum laude from Ball State University, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in English and advertising.
As an experienced family law litigator, Ms. Wanzer assists individuals with a variety of cases including legal separation, dissolution of marriage, post-dissolution modifications (including child support, custody, education expenses, emancipation), paternity, guardianship and grandparents’ rights. In addition, her practice also provides representation for clients who wish to pursue or have need to respond to an appeal in domestic or civil litigation matters.
Ms. Wanzer is also a registered domestic mediator providing mediation services to families facing the changing circumstances which accompany dissolution of marriage, custody and parenting time modifications, child support modifications and paternity determinations. Her commitment to the private resolution of family issues, the preservation of positive working relationships within families, and her calm demeanor and sensitivity in the face of emotional challenges make her the ideal choice as a mediator for family law matters. She is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and the Collaborative Family Law Association of Indiana, Inc., which provides innovative alternatives to litigating divorce and family law matters, with an emphasis on co-parenting and resolving cases without court intervention. In 2009, she presented an educational teleseminar on collaborative law for the National Business Institute, “Collaborative Law in Family Law Disputes.” The seminar was also selected by West Legal Ed Center to be a featured webcast. She has most recently hosted seminars for law students at Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis, providing information to help students “survive” the first year of law school.
Ms. Wanzer is a member of the Hamilton County, Indiana, Indianapolis, Indiana State and American Bar Associations. She was elected Secretary for the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Executive Committee. Ms. Wanzer volunteers her time as a Guardian Ad Litem in the Marion County Juvenile Court and Marion County Superior courts, with the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Ask a Lawyer program and Legal Line program and with the Heartland Pro Bono Council Modest Means program. In addition to her commitment to the legal profession, Ms. Wanzer enjoys serving as a Girl Scout troop leader and spending time with her husband and daughter.
