Regular office hours (8:30am – 5:00 pm) are in effect for Monday – Wednesday, November 23-November 25, 2009.
Our offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday on Thursday November 26 and Friday November 27, 2009.
We will return on Monday, November 30, 2009 at 8:30 for regular office hours.
We wish everyone a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.
Please check back after the holiday for information and photos from part of our team’s trip to Nicaragua to work in the orphanages over Thanksgiving week.

Carmel Divorce Attorney Stephenie Jocham, Adoption Attorney Michele Jackson, and Adoption Coordinator Amber Burton Small were all guests on the Smiley Morning Show on WZPL to discuss their Thanksgiving Trip to Nicaragua. The team leaves early Tuesday morning, November 24, 2009 as part of a group of volunteers through The Fatherless Foundation. They will be working in orphanages in Nicaragua, delivering supplies, medicines and toys as well as working with a local library to encourage literacy and host a baseball clinic. Pictures and information will follow upon the group’s return. We will also post a link to the WZPL 99.5 podcast soon! Big thanks to the cast and crew of the Smiley Morning Show: Smiley, KJ, Weedman & Mindy for helping us bring awareness to this worthwhile cause.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, and special thanks to all who helped us give thanks by giving back – your donations of cash, clothing, toys, school supplies, children’s OTC medicines and baseball equipment will help make our trip a huge success!

Members of Jocham Harden Dimick Jackson, PC are heading to Nicaragua for Thanksgiving. In anticipation of the trip, JHDJ Law will be accepting donations of baseball equipment, baby and children’s clothing, toys, school supplies, toiletries for children and over-the-counter medicines and health care supplies. Examples of items include:
1. Gently used or new clothing for infants and children: ages 1-15 (preferably summer items – please no sweaters or coats; no tears or stains)
2. School supplies (pencils, crayons, folders, backpacks, kid scissors, notepaper, tablets, etc.)
3. Over-the-counter medicines for babies and children (Tylenol, aspirin, band-aids, etc.)
4. Hygiene items for babies and children (lotion, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes)
5. Baseball gloves/mitts for children and teens
6. Baseball caps
7. Plain t-shirts in like colors – (all red, all blue, all green – to create baseball uniforms)
8. Baseballs
9. New tennis shoes
JHDJ Law will also accept monetary donations for the orphanages to enable them to buy supplies directly and for food and other operating expenses. Checks should be made payable to The Fatherless Foundation.
Supplies and monetary donations may be dropped off at our offices at 11450 N. Meridian Street, Suite 200, Carmel, Indiana 46032 through Friday, November 20, 2009.

CARMEL, IN – November 16, 2009 –Attorneys Stephenie Jocham and Michele Jackson of Jocham Harden Dimick Jackson, PC (JHDJ Law) are appearing on Fox 59 Morning News with anchor Angela Ganote at 7:20 am, November 17, 2009 to discuss an upcoming volunteer trip to Nicaraguan orphanages over the Thanksgiving holiday. The trip is being coordinated through The Fatherless Foundation, Inc., a tax-exempt charity founded by Michele Jackson, who also chairs the law firm’s Adoption Practice Group, providing domestic and international adoption services.
The group of 8 volunteers will be arriving in Managua, Nicaragua on Tuesday November 24 and departing November 29. During their stay, they will visit three orphanages to work with more than 100 children and distribute clothing, toys, medical and school supplies. The group will also be working with Puedo Leer Library to host a baseball clinic in Granada. Baseball is a popular sport in Nicaragua and the Library will be using the clinic to promote literacy by focusing on baseball-related books and materials leading up to this event. Our group will be providing sports books, baseballs, bats, gloves and hats out to the children.
In anticipation of the trip, JHDJ Law will be accepting donations of baseball equipment, baby and children’s clothing, school supplies, toiletries for children and over-the-counter medicines (such as baby aspirin, Children’s Tylenol) and health care supplies. JHDJ Law will also accept monetary donations for the orphanages to enable them to buy supplies directly and for food and other operating expenses.

The show focused on options for parents who are divorcing or involved in a family law case. Amber, a certified paralegal for more than 12 years, discussed JHDJ Law’s practice and the development of collaborative law and mediation in Central Indiana. Working with prospective clients, Amber helps them determine if an alternative to litigation is appropriate for their situation and selects one of the firm’s family law attorneys best suited to their case. In addition to working with prospective clients, Amber manages marketing, advertising, business development and public relations for JHDJ Law. CARMEL, IN – November 5, 2009 – Jill Dimick, who chairs the Business Litigation Group of Carmel law firm Jocham Harden Dimick Jackson presented 2 sessions at the National Business Institute’s seminar on Damages: Current Trends and Strategies. Ms. Dimick’s presentations included “Calculating Business Loss” and “Damages in Employment Litigation.”
Ms. Dimick is a native of Muncie, Indiana and a graduate of Ball State Univeristy Honors College. She received her Juris Doctor in 1989 and recently celebrated her 20th law school reunion at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. CARMEL, IN – November 4, 2009 – Elisabeth Edwards, an attorney and domestic mediator at JOCHAM HARDEN DIMICK JACKSON, PC, is a featured speaker at The Julian Center on November 5, 2009 regarding Protective Orders. Elisabeth will be presenting along with Marion Superior Court Judge David Certo. The presentation is part of the Julian Center’s Continuing Legal Education series on Family Law and Divorce. The Julian Center is a nonprofit agency providing counseling, safe shelter, and education for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other life crises.
