Brazil Court Awards Custody to Father in International Abduction Case

JHDJ Law has been following this case for some time.  Attorney Michele Jackson, who chairs our Adoption Practice, also practices in the areas of international family law and international abduction prevention.  Custody cases involving different state jurisdictions can be difficult enough, but when foreign jurisdictions are involved, the matters become even more complicated.  It is important to have an attorney knowledgeable about the Hague Convention, and who is skilled in working with foreign consulates, courts and attorneys.  With her experience in international adoption and international family law, Attorney Jackson can provide consultation on these subjects for individuals, attorneys and consulates throughout the US.  A frequent lecturer, Ms. Jackson also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis.
